Live - whole blood (2mL), nasopharyngeal swab
Dead - lymph node, liver, spleen, lung, kidney

Container:

Whole blood – collect blood in a purple-top vacutainer
Swabs – collect swabs in viral transport media (Contact RDSV lab to purchase)
Tissues – collect tissues in a sterile leak-proof container

Handling/ Storage:

Refrigerate specimen(s) prior to shipment. Ship specimen(s) in an insulated container with an ice pack
