Testing is performed by sequencing the ITS region of the rRNA gene, and includes one subculture (if required), DNA extraction, and sequencing reaction and interpretation. For other gene targets, please contact the laboratory. Sequencing cannot be performed on mixed fungal growth.
Transfer forms must be completed prior to the submission of pure fungal isolates. Please contact laboratory (dsbacteriology@upei.ca) to arrange for submission.
